Sergey V. Kantsevoy, MD, PhD, attended the Gorky State Medical Institute, now Donetsk National Medical University, in Russia, and received his medical degree (1983) along PhD in Surgery (1990). Upon relocating to the United States, he served his surgical internship and internal medicine residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, respectively Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC (1994-1997). Furthermore, he conducted his gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD (2000). Dr. Kantsevoy received board certification in internal medicine and gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
